Partizan 2018... A few more Portuguese infantry

Here are a few more finished Portuguese infantry...

They were originally Great War Miniatures British marching infantry...

I thought that mixing two or three infantry in with the refugees would be quite effective...

I have in fact painted more Portuguese ... but I have run out of the correct sized bases...

That will be another order to War Bases then...

This does however give me an opportunity to post a whole load of cool colourized photo's of Portuguese soldiers that I have found on the internet...

They are by a chap called Henrique M.

All the best  Aly.

  1. Looking great Aly.
So judging by these pctures essentially the Portuguese wore British uniforms made from French cloth? :)

    1. Hi Tom

The Portuguese uniforms were blue grey from the start...but by 1918 due to the political situation at home the bulk of their equipment and uniforms were manufactured in Britain.
So they wore Portuguese uniforms made in Britain from British cloth...
Britain also supplied the bulk of their weapons.

      All the best. Aly

Yes... this looks really good... and perfectly timed.
It about Aníbal Milhais... known as Soldier Millions.
The most decorated Portuguese soldier of WW1.
I think I may do a post about him.

      All the best. Aly
