ALY MORRISON'S "BUTTERFLY" ADVENTURES IN THE WORLD OF WARGAMES AND TOY SOLDIERS

Partizan 2018... More stuff.

Greetings...

A bunch of stuff for our game...

First off Dave has been making a hanger...

Next up a broken Fokker...

I have finished 6 more British cavalry...

As it turns out King Edwards Horse fought on foot in this engagement...doh!

I will still use them... with luck we will have some dismounted cavalry in time for the game...

I have also made a couple of vignettes for even more table dressing...

I've found a dodgy looking geezer...

That way...

 A line up...

Hopefully I will find time to do more... as they are quite fun.

Last post Stuart Insch and Mark Strachen made comments about the various flight simulators from the WW1...
This fired my curiosity...with a bit of digging I have found a few photo's on line...

I am not sure if we will have time to make any .. but they are interesting in their own right anyway...

This is the one Mark mentioned ... The Antoinette simulator.

You can almost see the hand of Heath Robinson in these...

This is a rather torturous looking device from America...

The last one is post war... but I rather like it...

All the best  Aly

  2. Brilliant post Aly - love the Fokker on the trailer nearly as much as the old photos of the simulators.

  3. Loving this "Show and Tell," thanks Aly for sharing. All this work leading up to the demo game is going to look like an award wining demo game. The Fokker is wonderful as are the photos of the flight simulators!

    Best wishes,

    GH

We still have a number of things to get finished...I am sure I will still be painting the night before the show...
It’s the smell of fresh varnish that makes it a good demo game... ;-)

      All the best. Aly

  4. Shaping up to be a great looking table Aly.
As for the training aids, perhaps it's no wonder the lifespan of a sprog pilot was only a few minutes!

I am afraid you would have to fight Mr Andrews for that prize... and he is bigger than both of us... ;-)
