Greetings…
Some of you may remember that a couple of years ago I bought some Late Romans from my friend David Bickley…
These were all re-based and spruced up a little bit…

Well… I have bought some more 😁… Also from David.
The figures to the top of the picture ( With square cornered bases) are the latest acquisitions and the ones at the bottom (With round cornered bases) are the previous acquisition.
Do you think I have enough?
Personally a few more Huns and Goths wouldn’t go amiss 🤔🙀🤣…
Here are the first two new units…
Archers (Skirmishing) and Legionaries….
These just had a few chips touched up, a light wash of Brown Liquid on the armour and a new Draco Standard for the Legionaries.
And of course new bases…
Not sure what’s next…(Apart from re-basing) The butterfly is still calling the shots 🦋🦋🦋.
All the best. Aly.

These latest recruits look splendid! Do you have enough? That is a silly question!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jonathan…
DeleteIt is a silly question isn’t it…
All the best. Aly
Tarted up a treat there Aly.
ReplyDeleteThank you Phil…
DeleteAll the best. Aly
They look great Aly, but rebasing....aaarrggghhh! Get the behind me, Satan!
ReplyDeleteThank you Keith…
DeleteIt’s not my favourite thing… But the do look a lot better.
All the best. Aly
Splendid reworking of the chaps there Aly. Of course you need some more figures!
ReplyDeleteI had good material to start with David…
DeleteYeah! You can never have enough toys…
All the best. Aly
Hmm, your photos of the storage shelves are shown as having space available!
ReplyDeleteHmmm!… I think you may be correct.
DeleteCertainly for Goths and Huns…
All the best. Aly
Excellent additions to a very nice collection. As to whether or not you need any more, I think that's for the butterfly parliament to decide.
ReplyDeleteStephen
Thank you Stephen…
DeleteI always do what the Butterfly Parliament says 🤣
All the best. Aly
Don’t be silly man, of course you don’t have enough. Having enough is for quitters. Lol. Alarmed to hear the butterfly is calling the shots - you should never trust an insect with a firearm. Oh yes - round cornered bases look the best imho.
ReplyDeleteI may not fully trust the Butterfly…But when it is waving a Mauser in my face I do as I’m told 🙀😆
DeleteThe round cornered bases are nice and elegant…
All the best. Aly
120mm wide bases? and which rules, they look really good by the way.
ReplyDeleteThank you Shaun…
DeleteI haven’t really decided, but with the use of counters etc I think I can use most rules sets…
That size with two stands per unit makes movement a lot easier.
All the best. Aly
Very nicely done Aly, but yes you probably are a few hundred figures short 😄
ReplyDeleteThank you Mark…
DeleteYes at least a few hundred short..
All the best. Aly
Holy bejezus! You should be well stocked with Romans now. Really nice ones too!
ReplyDeleteI certainly have enough for a game…😁
DeleteAll the best. Aly
Obviously you can never have enough...
ReplyDeleteVery true Rob…
DeleteAll the best. Aly
Well worth the effort Aly they are a splendid looking army. Makes my butterfly want to paint another late Roman unit !
ReplyDeleteThank you Matt…
DeleteGo on…. You know you want to…😁
All the best. Aly
That looks quite a collection Aly!!! I think you need more?
ReplyDeleteIt is certainly becoming a decent collection…
DeleteBut there is indeed room for a few more…
All the best. Aly
Lovely looking additions to your late Romans, Im almost on my final unit of my planned army, luckily Ive got a stash of lead kn a box that could double it in size if I wanted, go on you know you want to, is that to you or me?
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
There are certainly some fine new toys…
DeleteIf you can double the size of your army… you will then have enough for the odd civil war…🤔
All the best. Aly
