For those of you unfortunate enough not to have experienced that pleasure he was one of the most delightful, enthusiastic and friendly people you could ever meet...
The first time I met Adrian was over thirty years ago when he pretty much invited himself round for a wargame...
Not long afterward he had moved in over the road... and had persuaded me to help him with an impressively large recreation of the Battle of Blenheim to put on at the Partizan show in Newark ... this of course involved me painting lots of 28mm figures and helping build the 6x24 foot table for the game to be played on...
As I write I am still painting 28mm War of Spanish Succession... thought this time for myself... but I am also building a Caquot Type M Observation Balloon at Adrian's request to use in an impressively large recreation of a WW1 battle on the River Tigris... to put on at the Partizan show in Newark... not much change there then...
As always an artful persuader with an eye for the spectacular...
