ALY MORRISON'S "BUTTERFLY" ADVENTURES IN THE WORLD OF WARGAMES AND TOY SOLDIERS

Tintin… A Bordurian Armoured Car.

Greetings…

The Butterfly decided it wanted to see a nice Bordurian Armoured Car…

So here it is…

The vehicle is actually a Daimler DZVR Schupo - Sonderwagen 1921…
Painted a simple Blue-Grey…
What I found quite difficult was underplaying the shading and highlighting to try and get a more toy like feel… Which I think suits this comic based little project
I am pleased with the end result.

All the best.  Aly

  2. A most visually pleasing vehicle, your painting certainly gives the right vibes. If I didn’t have so much other stuff on the go I would be quite tempted by this range.

I reckon with your painting speed, you could put together a collection and have it painted and played with before I finish my second armoured car 🙀🤣…
Go on…. You know you want to 😈

  4. The commander looks very smart perched up there. I do like a vehicle with multi-turrets. I guess this was when armour thought itself invulnerable infantry killers and not the target of other armour.

  9. Judging from the uniform I'm guessing he's a baddie? Reminded me of Ian McKellen in Richard the Third.
