Campaign Pictures... Leipzig.

Greetings...

So here are some of the pictures I took during the Leipzig campaign that Alan Perry ran just over a year ago...

https://en-gb.facebook.com/perryminiatures/posts/1408286899293412?__tn__=K-R

I... General Malchanceux...

Handsome or what...

Spent most of the campaign miraculously manoeuvring between hordes of enemies ...until...

The Battle of Fuchshain...

Our glorious leader General Riclue with his glamorous assistant prepare for battle ...

I am prepared...

The forces of darkness arrive...

Brace yourselves mes enfant...

Oooo! there is rather a lot of them...

Let me escort you to somewhere safe...

Hmmmm!... That really is a lot of reactionary devil worshipers...

You may need some help assisting this young lady...

Yup!... They all appear to be attacking me...

Some examples of my magnificent dice throwing...

A double 6 is of course a blunder in Black Powder...

And when it was pretty much over... the Prussians turned up...

It was a really enjoyable campaign... I found it quite intense trying to make my way towards my comrades while daily being informed how close the forces of darkness were near to me...

My final report in my rather badly kept journal states...

The Battle Of Fuchshain...

Attacked by overwhelming forces...

Austrian, British, Hanoverian, Dutch Belgian, Prussian, Dalek, Martian and Zombie...

Forced to retreat with high casualties...

All the best   Aly

  1. Looks absolutely bloody marvellous. Looks like the old Peter Gilder battles, but with much better models and painting (I'll have to barricade the windows and await incoming fire now...). Thanks for sharing.

We... that is those of us of a certain age... are all children of Gilder, Grant and Featherstone...

    2. No - it's me - everytime I say something about Gilder stones fall on my house for a month.

  4. Great looking game Aly - but what else would one expect from your illustrious fellow gamers in this campaign? Your "young lady" may be a spy, methinks - she has forearms on her like a prop forward!

    1. We did wonder about the ‘young lady’...
She had a very deep voice and I think her name was Bernhardt ...

  7. Well, that looks like a major walloping and no mistake, but at least in a beautiful spectacle of a game!

  8. Great stuff Aly. I see what Keith means about Bernhardt's forearms, but its that set of knuckles I would be worried about!

    1. Apparently our glorious leader Riclue liked her because she was good at arm wrestling...

    2. Ah! I had assumed the lady to be his grandmother. If she was 20 when those clothes were fashionable in Charleston in 1778 she would be 55 at Leipzig. :)

    3. Bernhardt is an old fashioned lady... ;-)

  11. Excellent summary version of events :)--what more need one say?
As an owner or a Prussian Napoleonic Army, I was heartened to see Blucher's boys fulfilling their role. I have to ask, are those Carlist War English in peaked caps among the Reactionary Devil Worshippers? The effect of that red headgear is quite impressive!
