Greetings...
Yet another small addition to this project...
This time it is some Northern European Slingers.
This group is made up from the youths of the village so they have less tattoos... I intended to do very simple plaids on these... but as always I let things go...
I am very pleased with them... I may have to get a few more.
The tunics started of with a Citadel Loren Forest base coat and then the different plaids were added with a mixture of muted colours.
The miniatures are...

The bases are...

The paints are Wargames Foundry and Citadel...

As always these were a lot of fun to paint... maybe I shall add some Sea Peoples next...
All the best Aly
They do look like adolescent youths Aly and the plaid is very nice indeed.

Hello Aly,
ReplyDeleteI'd been watching this project of yours and am curious as to what terrain you might be thinking of to go with them? Something like this perhaps?

Hi Greg…
DeleteI looked at the buildings at Unterhuldingen (that as great name)…which are wonderful inspiration…
I was wondering if combining parts from Games Workshops Lake Town and Rohan House might work… it would of course only be a couple of buildings rather than a town…
I will need to think about it a bit more…
All the best. Aly
And I would also need to make some coastal terrain…
DeleteOoo, yes Aly, that is a good idea. I'd have thought just making the water buy painting dome MDF black and glossing the heck out of it ( get out the yacht varnish...)
