Greetings…
Another little batch of 40mm Napoleonics… This time it is a few Guerrillas.
I am sure I will come up with some suitable and probably silly names for them by the time I have my first game…
I was very pleased at how the armed Friars came out…
As before these were a lot of fun to paint…
They have come out quite colourful despite all the brown.
The Brown bits are… Citadel… Doombull Brown
The White bits are… Citadel… Pallid Wych Flesh.
The Red bits are… Citadel… Evil Sunz Scarlet.
As always everything was given a wash of Aly’s Brown Liquid and the highlight with the original shade.
I also did some additional highlights to the browns and the flesh…
The figures are Perry Miniatures…
The paints are Citadel.
The bases are as always…
Next up will be some Spanish Line Infantry…
All the best. Aly

More lovely work there Aly, any timeline in your first small skirmish with these?
ReplyDeleteThank you Keith…
DeleteI am thinking we will do it as our Xmas game..

Beautiful as always. I particularly like the mutton chop facial hair on that first chap. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteThank you JBM… it is much appreciated.

And another excellent batch of figures. Nice figures, the monks really should take note of the 'thou shalt not kill' bit...
ReplyDeleteThank you Rob…
DeleteI think they may have miss read it as kill the French 😳

These have great character Aly. Very nice.

These minis are really interesting, and offer great variety in clothing and physical appearance. Even the two friars, despite the habit, are different from each other: is the one with bare arms also barefoot? Instead the other three have some uniforms: are they jackets and hats of the Spanish army?
ReplyDeleteThank you…
DeleteThe Friar with bare arms is indeed bare footed…
Yes the Guerrillas included men from the regular Spanish army.
All the best. Aly
As expected very fine work on those Spanish guerillas. I especially like the finished look of the armed friars.
ReplyDeleteThank you David

Lovely figures Aly they are very ‘Spanish’ looking ……nice👍
ReplyDeleteThank you Matt…
DeleteThey are indeed very Spanish… I may have to paint up a few more.
All the best. Aly
Silly names? Looking at the forearm of the monk loading his musket 'El Popeye' seems pretty apposite.
ReplyDeleteI like it…
DeleteAccording to translate it would be El ojo de pop or El Popeye ( it depends whether you use Pop Eye or Popeye )I’m not sure which I prefer 😁
All the best. Aly
Super work, Aly! These fellas will give the French some trouble.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jonathan…
DeleteThey probably will… I will be playing the French 😳
All the best. Aly
Quite a temptation, 40mm (must resist!). I particularly like the look of your basing, which evokes the "display figure" look (as does your wonderful brushwork, of course, on the figures).
ReplyDeleteThank you Ed
DeleteI prefer the thicker bases…
I don’t think you should resist 40mm… you know you will love it.
All the best. Aly
Oh my gosh! The priests are magnificent!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much David…

Lovely stuff Aly. The temptation is getting greater…
ReplyDeleteThank you Mark…
