Greetings…
Here we have another batch of my Re-Based new Late Romans…
The Command group was put together from a couple of spare figures… Something my friend David Bickley does… So quite in keeping with this collection.
Some of these will work well as Romans or Barbarian/Goth types and one unit will certainly work nicely as Romano - British or Romano - Gaul.
There is another batch being worked on and I have been prepping something shiny…flutter flutter 🦋.
All the best. Aly

Splendid! Bring on the shiny fluttery stuff.

They look smashing Aly...rebasing is anathema to me, but if you can face it, all power to you!
ReplyDeleteThank you Keith…
DeleteIt needs to be done… so I just grit my teeth and press on…
All the best. Aly
Superb basing, really looks good, some lovely figures on show as well, top notch all round.
ReplyDeleteThank you Donnie…

I'm liking these a lot and that's a very effective command base. It'd be hard to pick a favourite photo. I hope we get to see these in action.
ReplyDeleteOooooh, shiny is always good.
Stephen
Thank you Stephen…
DeleteI will endeavour to have a game once the re- basing is finished…
All the best. Aly
They have scrubbed up very nicely Aly! The command vignette is lovely, especially the embroidered cloak on the foot figure, an idea I must borrow!
ReplyDeleteThank you David…
DeletePlease fee l free to borrow…

Wonderful work. Shiny is good. Really good looking troops to game with, soon ?
ReplyDeleteThank you Joe…
DeleteHopefully a game will happen sooner rather than later… I am looking forward to it.
All the best. Aly
Ah the joy of rebasing, I am envious - these look superb!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ian…
DeleteTo be honest it’s been easier than I thought it would be…
But I will be glad when it is done.
All the best. Aly
Cheerful basing. I like it. May I ask your approach?
ReplyDeleteScroll down the side bar to tutorials it is in there.

DeleteThe texturing / vegetation looks great. Are these on sabots? I can't see any joins, or are they just large multi-figure bases?
ReplyDeleteThank you Rob…
DeleteThey are on large multi figure bases…
I am not a fan of sabots…
All the best. Aly
Very nice indeed. A tedious job well done.
ReplyDeleteThank you

Lovely figures - looking forward to the big “shiny” reveal.
ReplyDeleteThank you Mark…
DeleteI’ve just finished doing some alterations to the castings for the next shiny unit… It’s a nice unusual one.
I will post a W.I.P. Soon.
All the best. Aly
Nothing like giving figures a new start with rebasing. Late Romans are an interesting group (as you mention). Good for early "dark age" and post Roman (Arthurian?) Britain.
ReplyDeleteThe re - basing certainly brings new life to the units…
DeleteI know they are going to be fun to play with… There is a lot of action /conflicts to pick from.
All the best. Aly
Lovely figures and excellent rebasing!

Thank you Iain…
