Late Romans… Yet more Re-Basing…

Greetings…

Here we have another batch of my Re-Based new Late Romans…

Most of them have had a little bit of a spruce up and new spears…

The Command group was put together from a couple of spare figures… Something my friend David Bickley does… So quite in keeping with this collection.

Some of these will work well as Romans or Barbarian/Goth types and one unit will certainly work nicely as Romano - British or Romano - Gaul.
There is another batch being worked on and I have been prepping something shiny…flutter flutter 🦋.

All the best.  Aly

  4. I'm liking these a lot and that's a very effective command base. It'd be hard to pick a favourite photo. I hope we get to see these in action.
    Oooooh, shiny is always good.

  5. They have scrubbed up very nicely Aly! The command vignette is lovely, especially the embroidered cloak on the foot figure, an idea I must borrow!

To be honest it’s been easier than I thought it would be…
But I will be glad when it is done.

  9. The texturing / vegetation looks great. Are these on sabots? I can't see any joins, or are they just large multi-figure bases?

They are on large multi figure bases…
      I am not a fan of sabots…

I’ve just finished doing some alterations to the castings for the next shiny unit… It’s a nice unusual one.
      I will post a W.I.P. Soon.

  13. Nothing like giving figures a new start with rebasing. Late Romans are an interesting group (as you mention). Good for early "dark age" and post Roman (Arthurian?) Britain.

I know they are going to be fun to play with… There is a lot of action /conflicts to pick from.
