More Testing Times…

Greetings…

Here are a couple more colour tests…

The first is of course the Hanoverian Light Infantry…

This has come out very nicely… There was always going to be a risk that it would be a bit dark but I don’t think it is…so hurrah!

The second lot of  are North Star 1672 figures…
I only have a few of these and when I came across them the Butterfly said “ put some paint on them “ so I did…

I painted them as a Danish Fyn Regiment Pikeman, a Swedish Dal Regiment Junior Officer and a Swedish Halland Regiment Musketeer…. All from the Scanian War.

I am rather pleased with the results…but I will not be adding any more at the moment as I have shiny little people to get on with…

All the best… Aly

  2. The test Hanoverian has come out really well, he look super in his new uniform. The 1672 range is a real cracker, I have a load still unpainted but never thought of the Scanian war, now there is something to think about!

  3. The Hanoverian looks just dandy. Some nice colour variations on the Scanian War chaps finely rendered by your good self.

  4. I’d like to add my own “hurrah” and maybe adventure a “haroo” too if you’ll pardon my presumption. Top stuff Ally.

  11. Lovely work on the buttons, they make the figures really pop and enhance the grandeur of their uniforms.

  12. Really love your choices for your Shiny Hanovarians. I have been researching all the various Hanovarian uniforms for my Shiny Waterloo project. It’s not easy to pin down some of the uniforms/ equipment.
As always, your research and paintwork are an inspiration.

It sometimes feels that the Hanoverians and some of the smaller German states changed their uniforms every week… If I am not sure I tend to go for the prettiest 😁.
