Greetings…
Here are a couple more colour tests…
The first is of course the Hanoverian Light Infantry…
The second lot of are North Star 1672 figures…
I only have a few of these and when I came across them the Butterfly said “ put some paint on them “ so I did…
I painted them as a Danish Fyn Regiment Pikeman, a Swedish Dal Regiment Junior Officer and a Swedish Halland Regiment Musketeer…. All from the Scanian War.
I am rather pleased with the results…but I will not be adding any more at the moment as I have shiny little people to get on with…
All the best… Aly

The Hanoverian looks just right. As do the Scanian War chaps!

The test Hanoverian has come out really well, he look super in his new uniform. The 1672 range is a real cracker, I have a load still unpainted but never thought of the Scanian war, now there is something to think about!
ReplyDeleteThank you Donnie…
DeleteThe Scanian War is quite an interesting “period”…
The uniforms are delightfully colourful as is the North Star 1672 range…
All the best. Aly
The Hanoverian looks just dandy. Some nice colour variations on the Scanian War chaps finely rendered by your good self.

I’d like to add my own “hurrah” and maybe adventure a “haroo” too if you’ll pardon my presumption. Top stuff Ally.

Very nice Aly...me thinks that butterfly of yours is leading you down a slippery slope...
ReplyDeleteThank you Mark…
DeletePossibly… but the butterfly always finds the most colourful blooms.. 🦋🦋😁

Always a probem - too many projects, too little time...
ReplyDeleteToo true Rob…
DeleteBut I will try my best 😁

Nice and shiny Aly! When you say "you won't be adding any more at the moment", doe that mean this week?
ReplyDeleteThank you Ray…
DeleteHmmmmm! …. It is Partizan on Sunday… And my birthday next Tuesday… dangerously tempting times 🤣
All the best. Aly
Really enjoy the Old School look. It reminds me of when I started playing.
ReplyDeleteThank you…
DeleteThe Old School Look really suits these classic Minifigs figures.

Lovely work on the buttons, they make the figures really pop and enhance the grandeur of their uniforms.
ReplyDeleteThank you Norm…

Really love your choices for your Shiny Hanovarians. I have been researching all the various Hanovarian uniforms for my Shiny Waterloo project. It’s not easy to pin down some of the uniforms/ equipment.
ReplyDeleteAs always, your research and paintwork are an inspiration.
Thank you Glen…
DeleteIt sometimes feels that the Hanoverians and some of the smaller German states changed their uniforms every week… If I am not sure I tend to go for the prettiest 😁.
All the best. Aly
Great stuff, the Hanoverian is very nice as are the Scanians - I really like the North Star 1672 range.
ReplyDeleteThank you…
DeleteThe North Star 1672 is indeed very nice…

That Hanoverian Light Battalion Luneburg figure is astonishing, and I'm not just talking about the length of his bayonet! :) Love your work Aly!
ReplyDeleteThank you David…
DeleteIt would certainly leave an impression 😳
All the best. Aly
Lovely light infantryman and your Danish pike and shot types are delightful!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Not sure how I missed this post but by the look of the dates on the comments, I was not alone!
ReplyDeleteLove the 1672 range figures, they look great. The shiny Hanoverian is certainly shiny!
