  1. Fortunately, I have already flitted (quite a bit) in this direction--although these books present new blooms to alight upon!

  3. I just hope that your butterfly tendencies lead to a range of Austrians and Italians for 1859 (your Crimean French are already suitable)...

  4. I'm just waiting for my copy of the former to pop through the post. It's a period I've been into since finding a copy of a book on Solferino at my local library. You could do worse than check out Gringo40's Neapolitans - cracking figures and a decent range (eventually!)...i'm going to give the Eagles of Emprire rules a try or The Men Who Would be Kings.

This hasn't stopped me having a quick look through De Bello 08 Austrian Army - 1859 Campaign..... ;-)

    All the best. Aly

    1. But can't you just picture it...dense columns of infantry in white jackets and pale blue trousers, supported by groups of markmen with hats sporting chicken feathers storming through picturesque Italian villages surrounded by vineyards... :-)

    2. Aly and Mark, you must stop all this temptation, it is not good for the butterflies among us ;~)
