The Hundred Thousand Sons of St Louis

Greetings...
I have just received my copy of Ralph Weavers new book...

A first glance tells me it is up to Ralph's usual high standard...I am looking forward to sitting down and having a good read about this little known campaign which has interested me for some time.

This definitely pleases my Wargames Butterfly...

The book is available from Helion...

    1. Hi Mark...

      Possibly...
I did start a range of figures a while back for this period, but I was unsure about certain details... so I shelved it...
I am hoping that this book may give things a kick up the arse...

      All the best. Aly

    1. Hi Paco.
It is indeed an interesting period...
I am surprised that not more known about it in France...A victory in Spain!
I suspect that the events and politics that followed has managed to push it into the shadows...
Very few people know about it in the UK so you are not alone...

For me the attraction is the uniforms... :-)

      All the best. Aly

    1. Hi Alan...
It is a very attractive book and so far an excellent read... up to Ralph’s usual high standard.
I also have Three Weeks in November... another excellent book... a perfect scenario for a wargames campaign.

  5. Had a chat with him at SALUTE. We'll probably have a Portuguese Civil War game next year.
