A Gentlemans War... The Rules.

Another quickie...

A Gentleman's War  by Howard Whitehouse...Hurrah!

As you may know I have been having a few games of this while its been in development... and jolly good fun they have been...

Now I have the a copy of the shiny new book... and we all know how much I like shiny things...

So if you fancy an excellent light hearted medium to large scale skirmish game in the style of H G Wells why not give it a go...Oh! yes I get a mention and there are pictures of my toys... but I wont let that influence me..!

  1. I will leave this to the aficionados Aly - but have fun and post your games on your blog and I shall make supportive comments!

  2. Thank you Keith...
The rules seem to work rather well ... even when taken out of the context of shiny toy soldiers... Howard has used them for some AWI games and another friend has tried them out quite successfully for the 7Years War...
As you correctly say not everyone’s taste... I will definitely post any games I play.

    All the best. Aly

  3. I shall look forward to your write ups. We use Howard's Astounding Tales"rules for our occasional pulp games, always give an entertaining and immensely fun game.

  7. I was inspired to pick up a copy - I especially enjoyed the comment about the purpose of average dice being to make a game more dull - made me laugh.
