Hurrah!...
At long last I have managed to get some War of Spanish Succession units finished...
First up... The Royal Scots Dragoons (Greys)...
One of my favourite units...
They saw action at...
Blenheim in... 1704.
Ramillies in... 1706.
Oudenarde in... 1708.
And Malplaquet in... 1709.
The Coats are... Citadel... Evil Sunz Scarlet.
The Facings are... Citadel ... Kantor Blue.
Hat piping and saddle cloth edging... Wargames Foundry ... Ochre 4B.
Belts... Wargames Foundry ... Buff Leather 7B.
Next up...
Rivers Regiment of foot...
This is another of the lovely units that I bought from my friend Adrian...
I re-flagged them as Rivers mostly because.... I liked the flags.
They saw action at...
Cadiz in... 1702.
Then spent some time in the West Indies returning to Spain to see further action at...
Almansa in... 1707.
Minorca in...1707.
And Almenar and Saragossa in 1710.
Next up...
The French Infantry regiment Monferrat...
This unit started life as an eBay purchase ...
I spruced them up and changed the facings so that I could have this regiment... I chose this regiment entirely because of its flags.
They saw action in Italy at...
Cremona, Luzzara, Governolo in 1702.
Chivasso and Cassano in 1705.
And Turin in 1706.
Finally we have...
The Imperial Infantry regiment Buol-Ried/Unknown.
This unit is another eBay purchase... I bought it as a Dutch unit but couldn't find a regiment that fitted the dark grey coats with red facings...
I did however find the Imperial Infantry Regiment Buol-Ried... which fitted nicely....Although there was no standard for the unit...
But I did find an unknown one which looks fine to me...
The miniatures are as always Front Rank...

The paints are Wargames Foundry and Citadel...

Bases from Warbases...

The Flags are from Maverick Models...

Or home made using Photoshop and images from Robert Hall or the Internet...

Looking great Aly a serious boost in numbers, particularly like the French, very pleasing to the eye. I wonder how long we have to wait for a battle ?
