  7. Very nice - don't know about you but I always think rebasing is like a fresh start - almost like having an entire new army to play with !

  9. I like the greenery on your bases. Obviously there is static grass there, but what is the other component in the mix? Gives a very natural look, a lot like my back lawn. Well, less dandelions, but you know what I mean.

I did a tutorial showing how I do my basing…

    2. Thanks, Aly. So the mystery ingredient is K&M 2S "medium olive scatter". Must say I'd passed that stuff by before, but it looks very effective used this way and I will have to try it.

    3. It adds a nice extra texture to the bases… and is indeed a bit weed like…

  11. A very nice "new" unit: we like how you have differentiated the faces, some mustachioed, others shaved. But are the mustaches sculpted on some miniatures, or just added by your brush?

    1. Thank you…
Like many armies of the early to mid 19th century the sergeants and grenadiers were allowed and even encouraged to wear moustaches… This would make it easier to recognise who was an elite/senior soldier.
Russian battalions each had a grenadier company .
Grenadier companies were made up of the most experienced and toughest soldiers.
In this unit you can see them behind the stand containing the flag.
Officers generally did whatever they wanted.

      All the best. Aly
