Greetings…
At the weekend I paid a flying visit to the Other Partizan….
This years show was certainly a busy one with many splendid games to see…
I only had a couple of hours to get around the games and get some shopping done so I have not taken as many pictures as I might have… But hopefully what I have will give a good reflection of the quality.
Mars Defends… By Bunny Badger Games.
The Battle of Ellisville-1863… By The Bunker.
Five Games at Arnhem… By Old Pikey’s Gaming Group.
The Battle of Montargris 1427… By The Bodkins.
The Black Ship… By The Iron Brigade.
The War of Spanish Succession… By The League of Augsburg.
Oscar Mike - WWII… By Rubicon Models.
Breed’s Hill… By Steve’s Paintingshed.
Newarkscki 1683… By The Skirmish Wargames Collective.
My Loot… Quite restrained for me 🙀🤣🤣.
I did manage to chat with a few friends but some I only saw from the other side of the (very busy ) room.
It was indeed a jolly morning out with chums.
All the best. Aly

Lovely photos, looks like a great show, I do fancy a 28mm 18th century warship but I don't know where I'd keep it! Very restrained purchases!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Thank you Iain…
DeleteYes the 28mm ships were rather splendid…
Like yourself I am very tempted… but also like you… where would I put it…
All the best. Aly
You managed to take some fine shots of the games in the time you were there. A focussed spend there I see too. It's a pity our paths didn't cross its always a joy to have a natter.
ReplyDeleteThank you Phil…
DeleteI Like the concept of a focused spend…
Yes it’s a shame we missed each other… Hopefully we will manage next time.
All the best. Alt
That selection of purchases covers an eclectic selection.
ReplyDeleteIt covers some additions to existing collections and the start of my new Napoleonic project.
DeleteAll the best. Aly
Sorry that our paths never crossed! I blame the crowds! I see its full steam ahead on Napoleonics from you loot.
ReplyDeleteYes it is a shame indeed… We will need to put the world to rights next time…
DeleteI’m working through some bits and pieces that have been on my painting table for a while and then it will hopefully be full steam ahead on the Hundred Days.
All the best. Aly
Some really top notch games on show, really very impressive. A decent haul of goodies as well, plenty to keep you going!
ReplyDeleteThere were so many good looking games… it was difficult to know which way to look…
DeleteI suspect if I had stayed longer the haul may have been a tad bigger….
All the best. Aly
Nice one. Thanks for the piccies. Very restrained on the loot front!
ReplyDeleteThank you…
DeleteIt’s a pleasure.
Restrained indeed… Or maybe I just didn’t have the time free the butterfly.
All the best. Aly
Mine was a flying visit - in the afternoon.
ReplyDeleteStill foggy when I left!
Neil
It was indeed a rather foggy day…
DeleteWas it still very busy when you got there?
All the best. Aly
Yes all though it started to empty out a bit from about 2, it was still quite busy by 3.
DeleteNeil
Great pictures thanks! Looks like your bolstering your Naps and Late Romans a bit.
ReplyDeleteThank you…
DeleteYes indeed… Additions to Napoleonics , Romans and some Dads Army…
All the best. Aly
A nice way to spend a couple of hours Aly...lots of superb games...didn't you make it to the Charnwood WW2 table..have seen a few other blogs and it looked absolutely next level in terms of scenery!
ReplyDeleteSome good purchases to round out the day, too.
It was an enjoyable morning indeed.
DeleteSadly I missed the Charnwood game…And quite a few others.
It’s a good job there were others who had time to cover more of the games than I had time to…
All the best. Aly
Great to see you again Aly and very good to have a quick chat too!
ReplyDeleteIt was indeed good to have a quick catch up…
DeleteYou certainly took your usual impressive amount of pictures…
At least I know what I missed 😁
All the best. Aly
Looks like great fun!
ReplyDeleteLittle Wars is our local con. I’ve run games there many times, but life has gotten in the way, and it’s been years since I attended.
It was a very good show indeed…
DeleteAll the best. Aly
Aly, Do you ever run games?
ReplyDeleteI’ve been hoping to see your shiney Napoleonics on the table.
I have put on a few games at Partizan over the years…
DeleteI am indeed tempted to do a Shiny Napoleonics game… maybe next year.
All the best. Aly
I like the shot with the half buried Tiger tank. Nice loot, I am off to check up on that book title.
ReplyDeleteThe half buried tank is definitely something to borrow ( steal ) in the future…
DeleteIt’s a lovely book.
All the best. Aly
Great stuff Aly. I somehow missed you at the show. Our paths will cross next time I hope. Best rgds. Phil
ReplyDeleteThank you Phil…
DeleteI was only there for such a short but enjoyable time so I missed quite a few people and games…
Hopefully I will have more time at the next one…
All the best. Aly
Didn’t make it down this time but the games on display are as always spectacular. Only a bit of lot !! It looks a lot to me
ReplyDeleteThe games were certainly up to their usual high standards Matt…
DeleteI reckon if I had stayed longer I would have had an even bigger bag of loot… so probably a good thing for my wallet that I left early 😁
All the best. Aly
Great pictures, not been to Partizan for a few years but always enjoyed the show, so it's nice to see what was on display on the day. Thank you! The new project looking interesting, I've recently dug out some French and British Napoleonics out and resisting the temptation to interrupt my Jacobite project. Cheers Meic
ReplyDeleteThank you Meic…
DeleteIt’s always good to have something tempting to keep the butterfly happy 🦋
All the best. Aly
