Partizan 2018... King Edwards Horse.

A few more miniatures finished for our game...


These chaps will represent King Edwards Horse who were pushed into combat around Estaires to try and stem the flow of the German advance...

I have still to paint insignia on them ... I shall wait until I have finished all 12 of the figures I intend to paint for this unit.

Everything follows my usual process...


Although this time the figures were undercoated with ...Tamiya Nato Brown Spray...

The horses were then give a number of brown and red washes ...all Citadel...
I paint a number of layers of each colour until I am satisfied with the results... I am aiming for some subtle variation across the unit.


The Uniform is... Foundry... Drab 12B.
Gasmask case ,Small pack, Officers breeches etc. are... Foundry... Drab Light 12C.
Helmet... Foundry ... Drab Shade 12A... With a touch of Black.
Leather... Citadel... Doombull Brown.
Steel... Silver with a touch of... Citadel Dryad Bark.

Everything is given a coat of Aly's Brown Liquid...

Then re highlighted with the original colours...


After matt varnishing, the leather equipment was given a coat of Tamiya Clear Orange to give it a lustrous shine...

I am rather pleased with these...
