Helen aka Grey Heron reminded me that there is a new film coming out this year called...
Soldado Milhoes...

This is a Portuguese made film about Anibal Augusto Milhais ... the most decorated Portuguese soldier of WW1... He became Known as Soldier Millions.
A perfectly timed film as the events portrayed happened 100 years ago during the battle that inspired our game...
More about him can be found here...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/An%C3%ADbal_Milhais
He will be represented on our table...
Normally Dave and I depict our Light MG teams as two men on a base ...A gunner and a number two...
But for Soldado Milhoes I have based him as a single figure...
Anibal Augusto Milhais July 9th 1895 - June 3rd 1970.
All the best Aly

DeleteBut apparently a shy and humble man...
All the best. Aly
Lovely work Aly once gain and wonderful to use this miniature to represent the man himself.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes,
Thank you Helen...
DeleteIt would be rude not to represent him...
I may have to change the rules to make him invincible....
All the best. Aly
Milhais named his Lewis gun "Little Louise".

DeleteHe actually maned seven Lewis guns to fool the Germans into thinking there were more Portuguese on his position. He just kept running from one to another when the Huns made any attack.
