Greetings…
Here is the next unit for this project…
U.S. Infantry… Possibly the 21st Regiment…

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Lundy%27s_Lane
I decided to go for the 1813 uniform…
A nice simple blue uniform with white piping on the collar… and relatively easy to paint.
The figures are from Knuckleduster…

The paints are Wargames Foundry and Citadel...

A very fine addition to the collection, if they were in an old figure catalogue I would describe them as US Infantry advancing jauntily.
ReplyDeleteThank you Phil…
DeleteIf I’m in command it’s more likely that they will be retreating jauntily 😁…
All the best. Aly
Great work Aly. The red sashes really pop against the simple uniform and the basing works a treat:).
ReplyDeleteThank you Steve…
DeleteI also like the splash of colour… the drummer will also have a red tunic which should also pop nicely… that’s hope it doesn’t make them bullet magnetics…
All the best. Aly
A splendid addition to the collection Aly! Your War of 1812-15 project is shaping up nicely.
ReplyDeleteThank you David…
DeleteIt’s a rather fun project…
All the best. Aly
Very nice Aly and I like the round bases.
ReplyDeleteThank you Keith…
DeleteI like the round bases as well… it’s nice to differentiate between regular and skirmish collections.
All the best. Aly
Excellent work, Aly!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jonathan…
DeleteAll the best. Aly
The combination of colors seems fine to us too, with the blue of the uniforms, the sky blue of the backpacks and the white of the trousers, on which the red sashes of some miniatures stand out. Excuse the ignorance: what rank should these last two graduates with red sashes have?
ReplyDeleteThank you…
DeleteThe chap with the sword would be a officer… possibly a captain or a lieutenant.
The chap with the musket would be a sergeant…
All the best. Aly
Lovely looking unit Aly, the knuckeduster figures are interesting old school sculpts an acquired taste ?
ReplyDeleteThank you Matt…
DeleteI think the young hipsters would refer to them as being a bit Marmite…😁
I like them…
But I don’t like Marmite 😂
All the best. Aly
I think like most figures when nicely painted (all of yours) they look fine in battle and that is after all what they are for. I however love Marmite always have 🙂
DeleteLovely figures Aly, you have been a busy bee. What rules do you think you'll use with them?
ReplyDeleteThank you JBM…
DeleteI am going for Rebels and Patriots but will probably try a few others as well…
All the best. Aly
Lovely work Aly. I really like the work with the lace on the collars…more detail than I can paint these days!
ReplyDeleteThank you Mark…
DeletePerverse as it may sound to some… I quite enjoy painting lace and the like on miniatures..
All the best. Aly
Your War of 1812 figures seem to be heading off the production at quite some pace, and in fine fettle, Aly, even with your building 'distractions'!
ReplyDeleteRegards, James
Thank you James…
DeleteI’m really enjoying this project…
All the best. Aly
They look superb, lovely uniform and paint job!
ReplyDeleteThank you Phil…
DeleteAll the best. Aly
Very well done on these!
ReplyDeleteThank you Nick…
DeleteAll the best. Aly
Lovely looking US infantry, I think I prefer them with white belts, very nice!
ReplyDeleteBest Iain
Thank you Iain…
DeleteThe white belts certainly make them a lot brighter than the black would have been.
If I ever do any of Winfield Scott’s grey clad troops I may do black belts for them.
All the best. Aly
