Lion Rampant... Based Romans Part 1.

Greetings...


So here are the first group of fully based Romans...


I know you all like a parade ... so I will just get on with it...







Those 'added rocks' make all the difference... Its so 3rd Century.


In spite of having no bases I have just put in an order for reinforcements from Aventine and A&A Miniatures... Hurrah!

    I can’t say that I really enjoy large basing sessions... but the end result is worth the effort.

    Lovely work Aly, they look great based up with the rocks and all. I know the 3,2,1 basing is getting more popular but I am not convinced personally ?

      The 3,2,1 basing isn’t a style I would use normally... but it does seem to fit in with the rules rather well...

    Brilliant! I have my Romans on 3-2-1 basing too but they don't look anywhere near as nice as yours.

    Great stuff!

    Aventine miniatures are truly amazing!

    I had an entire Second Punic War Roman army from them, and it was a wonder to look at on the table.

    Lovely stuff Aly. The basing is great and the shield transfers just give each unit a life of it's own.

      For bigger games I will definitely be sticking to more traditional basing...
