Greetings…
Here is yet another U.S. unit for this project…
These fellows will be another part of the 21st Infantry Regiment…
The figures are from Knuckleduster…

I was hoping to get a bit more painting done this week but Covid decided to put a stop to that..
It may be what’s ‘Trending’ at the moment and I can see that a lot of the young hipsters are taking it up…But I shall not be recommending it to anyone…
I’m on the mend now…
I have a British infantry unit primed and waiting for paint…and in my War of 1812 project box I have a British/Canadian cavalry unit and I think enough other figures to make one more small British and U.S. infantry unit… I shall wait until these are all done and then I will have a parade.
All the best. Aly
You have made the expected good job of those Aly. Pleased to read you are on the mend!
ReplyDeleteThank you David…

These fellas are familiar to me (in a former life): the 21st Inf is one of the longest continuing service outfits in the US Army (active since 1861).
ReplyDeleteSad to hear you got the COVID: glad to hear that you're on the up side!
Thank you Ed…
DeleteThey certainly saw a fair bit of action in The War of 1812…
All the best. Aly
Very pretty soldiers as ever, Aly. Best of luck with your coninuing recovery!
ReplyDeleteBest regards
Matthew
Thank you Matthew…

I'm sure 'they'll try Sir' (sic).
ReplyDeleteI think they will…😁

Nice unit, as always, Aly.
ReplyDeleteWe are sorry the covid has come to visit you, but we are glad to know that you are better now: having had it all of us in the family, we understand that it is a nuisance even if you are not seriously affected ...
To play down this experience, wouldn't it be an idea to paint a battlefield doctor (if such a miniature exists), to add to your British or U.S. forces?
Thank you…
DeleteIt certainly wasn’t a pleasant experience… not one I would recommend to anyone…
I always know when I am getting better…I want to paint toy soldiers 😁
Stretcher Bearers or a doctor treating a wounded man would be an excellent little vignette… I must have a look around for suitable figures…
All the best. Aly
Nice toys Aly...sorry to read you succumbed to "the bot" ...a few friends and acquaintances here are starting to catch it too now, so perhaps our turn will come...but we have avoided it so far and as of today, total deaths in NZ are 156..... that's it....not to the power of ten or a hundred... One hundred and fifty six.
ReplyDeleteThank you Keith…
DeleteYou have been very fortunate… you have a government that gives a damn.
All the best. Aly
Ooooo these are very nice Aly!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ray…

Very nice Aly. There might even be enough units for a game soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you Mark…
DeleteAnother couple of units and then I will have enough for a game…
All the best. Aly
