The Crimean War… Rebased Russian Jägers.

Greetings …

Here we have the latest rebased Russian battalions…

This time it is two units of Jägers…

Yet again a fairly painless process…

The figures are of course Great War Miniatures…

The Standards are from North Star

The bases are as always Warbases…

The toys were again all painted by many talented people…

All the best   Aly

  1. Very handsome! How do you distinguish jagers from line? Black webbing v white?

The Jägers have black webbing and some uniform variations…
The flags are also slightly different…

  2. They look great! I learnt from David's blog that the Jaegers had black webbing and some small hat banding details that were different, as otherwise they look like standard line infatnry to me.

  5. Another impressive battalion! Excuse our ignorance, but who are the soldiers with the flat hat, who differ from the majority with the black helmet?

    1. Thank you…
The guys in the flat caps are the same as the rest of the unit…
They are just wearing forage caps… which were more comfortable to wear on campaign than the regulation helmets.

      All the best Aly
