Shiny Napoleonics… More Terrain.

Greetings…

Okay not actually ‘shiny’ terrain… But terrain to use with my shiny toys…

While my dodgy eye slowly gets better… Things seem to always take longer when you get older 🙄.

I have been assembling and painting more bits of terrain…

A couple of Sarissa buildings and some more trees…

The buildings and trees have been painted in the same way as my previous additions…

The details can be found here…

The only difference with the trees…

Is that they are Poplars and were given a base coat of Citadel Death Guard Green spray…

I have a few more buildings already assembled and I am also moving (slowly) on with something new and pretty…

All the best   Aly

  3. It's lovely how your collection has a growing range of matching scenics. You have a beautiful theme going on with the shiny-stuff. Good luck with your eye - it's a hell of a hassle for visual people like us.

I’ve always wanted it to be and ‘ integrate’ collection with everything working together…

  4. The poplars in my back yard ("garden" for friends in the UK) should look so good! Then again, everything's better in toy soldier land, after all. Hope your recovery progresses without setback!

I’m certainly spoiled by the fact that I can still by trees that were made in the 70’s 😁

  10. Those trees came out nice. Did you pimp up the buildings, they don't look like Sarissa kits to me?

No pimping involved… just a coat of paint…

  13. No argumentent from me about the Merit poplars. I think your buildings are rather splendid too. Do you paint them before they're fully assembled or afterwards?

I build the buildings then then paint them…
I means that everything is tied together… To me sub assemblies look like sub assemblies…

  15. Lovely work Aly. I really like those trees...I wish some manufacturer would pick up the concept and modernise it. Somethings you want to take longer as you get older to savour the moment - a good steak, a bottle of fine wine or a day playing with toys - but others you want go ASAP so you can get on with the more enjoyable stuff. I hope your eye rectifies itself soon.

    1. They are indeed lovely trees Mark…

With the job that I do I know quite a bit about what the engineering involved in making these would be… I honestly don’t think that there are that many toy soldier/wargames figure companies out there that could do push fit plastic trees… Even with CAD…
Which actually makes the trees more impressive as they would have been hand sculpted…

      All the best. Aly
