This time themed around the colours green and pink.

The cloth and ribbons are... Citadel... Warboss Green.
The leather goods are... Citadel... Skrag Brown/Doombull Brown/Mephiston Red.

The Kontos are... Wargames Foundry... Forest Green 26B.

The paints are Wargames Foundry and Citadel...

 The miniatures are...

The shield transfers are...

This will probably be the last lot of Sassanids or Romans until I can get more bases (though you never know... they are rather fun to paint )

You may also have noticed that these chaps have been based... and Textured...
After much pondering I have come up with a new basing style that is..... pretty much the same as my normal one.... except.... with added rocks.

I am rather pleased with how everything looks... I don't know why it took me so long to make a decision...

You may also have noticed that this will be my tenth post this month... a bit of a record for me...
For some reason I seem to have more time on my hands...

So....  Next... something shiny and texturing bases.

All the best   Aly

  2. You seem to be having a very productive period Aly! These cavalry are wonderful and the basing looks fantastic too. I really like the idea of six figure units too!

It’s nice to clear some of the backlog that was building up on my painting desk...
There are a couple more Sassanid units in the lead mountain... all I need is the bases...
The six figure cavalry units work really well for me... it doesn’t seem as daunting as twelve or more...

      All the best. Aly

  7. Great work as always! As to having more time.. true, I'm just finishing a second unit of Napoleonic Austrians (36 each) made in less than 3 weeks, and thinking about restarting my blog, or starting a new one :-)

    2. This is my old blog, that I haven't updated since my first visit to the Perry's http://czasowstrzymywanie.blogspot.com/ You can see some of my minis in the old posts. This time I think I will start a new blog in English or bi-lingual.... or maybe continue wit the old one but just change the language settings.
