Greetings…
Here is another unit for my 15mm Carolingian project…
Carolingian Heavy Infantry…
As always these fellows were a joy to paint… I have a unit of Carolingian Medium Infantry undercoated and waiting patiently on the my desk for me to finish butterflying around… looking at my dest at the moment they certainly are going to need their patience. 😁
I think I will do a bit of desk clearing…so expect a fair mixture of pretty toys to appear over the next wee while.
The Heavy Infantry were painted pretty much in the same colours as the Guard Cavalry…
The Leather Bits are… Citadel… Deathclaw Brown.
The Red Bits are… Citadel… Evil Sunz Scarlet and Mephiston Red.
The Yellow Bits are… Foundry… Ochre 4B.
The Boots are… Citadel… Doombull Brown.
The Spears are… Foundry… Spearshaft Light 13C.
As always everything was given a coat of Aly’s Brown Liquid and then highlighted with the original colours.
The figures are from Forged in Battle.

Another lovely unit Aly, and interesting to see what these forged in battle minis actually look like when painted up. Are they 15´s or closer to 18…? Asking for a friend who was also interested to know if they’d mix okay with Peter Pig stuff? :-)
